About Me

Marshall Elaze is a Cameroonian ecologist and educator with a strong background in wildlife conservation and ecological research. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Technology at the University of Bamenda.

His research focuses on the habitat preferences and conservation of the Palm-nut vulture (Gypohierax angolensis) in the Douala-Edea National Park, Cameroon. His work aims to provide critical insights into the preservation of this unique bird species and its ecosystem.

Beyond his research, Elaze is passionate about education and has extensive experience in teaching Food and Nutrition, a field he regards as his primary vocation. He has worked as a secondary school teacher, helping students develop strong foundations in the sciences.

Resilience and determination have defined Elaze’s journey, shaping his approach to both academics and conservation.
