About Me
Ghislain Noe Kougoum Piebeng is an Ornithologist and Wildlife Conservation specialist from Cameroon. He currently serves as an Associate Professor and Lecturer-Researcher in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Maroua.
He has extensive expertise in biodiversity conservation and has authored many scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to multiple conservation initiatives, including the Parrot Conservation Project in Cameroon (PARROTPRO).
In addition to his research, he has provided consultancy services to SYLVATROP Consulting, IDEA WILD, and ORYX, conducting environmental and social impact assessments for infrastructure projects, including dams, irrigation zones, and roads.
As an educator, he has trained and supervised Master’s Research students specializing in ecology and conservation.
